Four Values we embrace on the Go Team

Consider this, when a professional football player joins a new team they get the playbook, an access code to the training facility, the code of conduct, a new jersey, and all the other things that will help them fit seamlessly onto their new team. How we Care for you! (Span of Care = the secret sauce 🤫)

"This makes theChapel feel so close and personal for me." - Basically Everyone.Basically Everyone 😉 is saying that one of the most incredible parts of theChapel is the level of care and attention you receive as you serve on the Go Team. We know that people are hard wired to want two things: to be (1) Needed and (2) Known. When you're serving on the Go Team, you are meeting a need, and you're making a difference in the lives of others. That's a given. The Span of Care is all about making sure you're not just needed, but KNOWN. So what does that look like? When you join the Go Team, a leader in your ministry area will reach out to you on occasion to essentially ask two questions:<ul><li>How are you doing? 👍</li><li>How can I pray for you? 🙏</li></ul> They'll genuinely care for you. They want to know how they can be praying for you and how things are going ... in your life, not in your Go Team role. Remember, God cares more about who you are than what you do, and our leaders emphasize that as they reach out to care for you. How often you and your leader connect is up to you! We encourage you to engage in the process of being cared for as best as you're able, because basically everyone says "This makes theChapel feel so close and personal."

We''ll help you find the right seat on the bus - 🚌

"The right seat on the bus" is a leadership idea that says "If you're serving in a role and realize that you want to serve in a different role, we'll help that happen." The metaphor is so clear because we're so glad that you're on the Go Team, on the bus moving forward with where God is taking this team... and we want to make sure that you're in the right seat for you. So when you start serving and maybe find that, for example, you don't enjoy making coffee for everyone before service or rocking babies to sleep in the nursery... that's okay. You can simply raise your hand to your team leader and let them know that the role you are in isn't the right fit for you. Your leader will do everything in their power to help you find the perfect fit (seat) for you in another role, or even on another team. No problem. Again... we just want to help you find "the right seat on the bus". 💪

1Up - An "extra life" for Go Team kids 1️⃣⬆️🕹

One of the great benefits of serving on the Go Team is that you get to meet a lot of great people on your team and enjoy life-giving relationships. We have a 'serve one, attend one' value on the Go Team, which means that we want you to attend a service on the weekend as well as serve during another service, it's possible that while YOU are serving, your kids will have already attended a service of their own. Some of you may remember growing up in church while mom and dad stayed late to talk to people or attended multiple services. 1Up is our plan to make sure that the Go Team kids have a great place to relax and enjoy time together with other Go Team kids while you serve. During our 10:30am &amp; 12pm services, in Room 109, any Go Team kids in 1st - 5th grade who have already been to their service get to enjoy video games, snacks, some crafts and an approved movie. It's a place to relax and get a little refreshed and just enjoy their time together. And here's one fantastic thing we've noticed from 1Up; while mom and dad are serving with the Go Team somewhere in the church, the kids in 1Up are getting to know each other and building relationships which will carry over into the future as they begin to serve together on the Go Team starting in 6th grade. How cool is that?! So cool!

Congratulations! 🎉 You did it!&nbsp; It's so great that you finished both steps of Growth Track. Hopefully you learned a little bit about our Go Team culture and are excited to jump in and Make a Difference. If you applied to serve with minors, you will receive an email from Checkr requesting you complete a mandatory background check. If you’re interested in learning some more about theChapel, we've prepared some additional resources for you that talk a little more about leadership and how theChapel operates which you can find <a href="https://thechapel.cc/growthtrack-resources/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">HERE</a>. (We’re also sharing that additional resource page with you in an email you’ll receive shortly.) Now that you’ve completed Growth Track, <ul><li>We'll notify your ministry leader</li><li>Your leader will reach out to you as soon as they can (usually within a few days depending on when Step 2 is completed).</li><li>They'll talk to you about the Go Team role you're interested in.</li><li>They'll help you find a good time to shadow/observe the role on the weekend.</li></ul> Some Go Team roles require a few more steps, but don't worry, your team leader will make it simple and clear for you.
