Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. OnArk also uses local storage and tracking pixels, which work the same way. This page lists every one we use, what it does, and how to turn it off. How we handle the data itself is in our Privacy Policy.

Needed to run OnArk

These keep you signed in, protect forms from bots, and take payments. The Service does not work without them.

  • OnArk sign-in and settings. Keeps you signed in, remembers your language, and remembers things you have dismissed. Where: App and class pages. Stores: onark-token, onark-lang, and small settings in local storage.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile. Checks that a form is being filled in by a person, not a bot. Where: Signup and checkout. Stores: Cloudflare security cookies.
  • Stripe. Processes your card securely and prevents fraud. Where: Card step of signup, billing. Stores: __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid.
  • Help Scout. Runs the help widget so you can reach support. Where: Website and admin. Stores: Help Scout local storage.

Analytics and error monitoring

These tell us how OnArk is used and when something breaks, so we can fix it. We use them only to improve OnArk, not for advertising.

  • PostHog. Product analytics and session recordings (clicks, scrolling, page changes; text typed into form fields is masked). Sent through our own domain. Where: Website, signup, app, and class pages. Stores: ph_* cookie and local storage.
  • Rollbar. Reports errors in the page so we can fix them. For signed-in staff, the report includes the account it happened to. Where: Everywhere. Stores: No tracking cookies.
  • OnArk attribution. Remembers which page or campaign first brought you to OnArk. Where: Website and signup. Stores: onark-attribution.

Advertising

These measure whether our ads work and let us show OnArk ads to people who visited. They are not loaded on churches’ own class pages for their guests. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load them.

  • Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). Counts visits, signups, and trials that came from our Meta ads, and builds ad audiences. Where: Website, signup, and OnArk’s own training class. Stores: _fbp, _fbc.
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads. Measures visits and signups, including those from our Google ads. Where: Website, signup, and app. Stores: _ga, _ga_*.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag. Measures our LinkedIn ads and builds ad audiences. Where: Website and app. Stores: LinkedIn cookies (such as li_fat_id, bcookie).

Embedded content

When a class includes a video, the video host may set its own cookies when the video loads.

  • YouTube and Vimeo. Plays videos a church adds to a class, under the host’s own privacy policy. Where: Class pages with a video. Stores: The video host’s own cookies.

Your choices

  • Global Privacy Control: turn it on in your browser (several browsers and extensions support it) and we will not load the advertising tools above.
  • Browser settings: you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking the ones OnArk needs will break sign-in and signup.
  • Ad settings: you can also manage ads in your Meta, Google, and LinkedIn account settings.
