Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information OnArk collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. OnArk is operated by Kuzu Media LLC (“OnArk,” “we,” “us”), based in Florida, United States. It covers onark.app, the OnArk app, and the class pages we host for churches.

Two kinds of data, two roles

Church accounts and our own website.When church staff sign up, use the admin, or when anyone visits onark.app, fills out one of our forms, or takes OnArk's own training class, we decide how that information is used. This policy describes those uses.

Guest data a church collects.When a guest checks in to a church's class, the information they give (name, contact details, form answers, assessment results, progress) belongs to that church. We store and process it on the church's behalf, only to run the service for that church, and under its instructions. We do not sell guest data or use it to advertise to guests. If you are a guest and want to see, correct, or delete what you gave a church, contact that church first; we will help the church respond.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: name, email address, church name, and the plan you choose.
• Billing details: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep the plan, billing dates, and payment status.
• Church content: classes, videos, forms, branding, and anything else you build in OnArk.
• Form and quiz answers: for example your email, first name, and church name when you request a download, take the Guest Gap quiz, or start a trial, plus your quiz answers.
• Support messages: what you send us through the help widget or email.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data: pages viewed, buttons clicked, time and date, referring page, browser and device type, and IP address.
• Campaign data: the ad or link that brought you to us (UTM tags and ad click IDs).
• Session recordings: our product analytics tool (PostHog) can record how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, page changes) so we can find and fix problems. Text typed into form fields is masked in these recordings.
• Cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Information from others

• Planning Center: if a church connects Planning Center, we exchange the people and workflow data the church configures, in both directions.
• Payment and fraud signals from Stripe and Cloudflare.

How we use it

• To run the service: host classes, check guests in, send emails the church has set up, and run the church's automations.
• To manage your account, trial, and billing, including reminder emails before a charge.
• To support you and answer your questions.
• To keep OnArk secure: prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
• To understand and improve the product: analytics, error reports, and session recordings.
• To market OnArk to churches: emails about OnArk (you can unsubscribe any time) and measuring and improving our ads.
• To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information for money. We share it only as follows.

Service providers

These companies process data for us under contract, only to provide their service to us:

• Railway, DigitalOcean, Amazon Web Services, and Cloudflare: hosting, database, file storage, email delivery, security, and bot protection
• Stripe: payments and billing
• Customer.io: account and marketing email
• PostHog: product analytics and session recordings
• Rollbar: error monitoring
• Help Scout: support messages and the help widget

Advertising platforms

On onark.app, our signup pages, and OnArk's own training class, we use tools from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, LinkedIn, and AdRoll to measure and improve our ads. These tools collect device and browsing information directly through cookies and pixels. When you give us your email on one of those pages, we may also send Meta a scrambled (hashed) version of it so Meta can tell whether our ads worked. Some state laws call this “sharing” for targeted advertising. These tools are not loaded on churches' own class pages for their guests.

Opting out: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load these advertising tools and do not send your information to ad platforms. You can also ask us to opt you out through our contact page.

Others

• Your church: guest information goes to the church that runs the class, and to tools the church connects, like Planning Center.
• Video hosts: when a class includes a YouTube or Vimeo video, that service receives your device data when the video loads, under its own privacy policy.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OnArk, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: if Kuzu Media LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

Sensitive information

Because OnArk serves churches, class answers can reveal religious beliefs or other personal matters. We treat all guest data as confidential, process it only for the church that collected it, and never use it for advertising. Churches should collect only what they need and tell their guests how they use it.

How long we keep it

• Account and church content: while the account is active. If you cancel, we keep your classes and data so you can come back, unless you ask us to delete them.
• Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Analytics and recordings: for the retention period our analytics provider allows, then deleted.
• Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Your choices and rights

• Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Ad tracking: turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or block cookies in your browser settings.
• Access, correction, deletion: ask us through our contact page. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to a copy of your data in a portable format, to opt out of targeted advertising, and to appeal a decision we make about your request. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we respond within the time the law allows (usually 30 to 45 days). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and marketing OnArk, and your consent where the law requires it, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

OnArk is built for churches and adults. Accounts are for people 18 and over, and our website is not directed to children under 13. Churches must not use OnArk to collect personal information from children under 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls that keep each church's data separate, and reputable hosting providers. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

Where data is stored

OnArk runs in the United States. If you use it from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we will email account holders and post a notice on this site before it takes effect, and update the date at the top of this page.
